Then check with the hotel/airline/car rental company to see if booking directly is cheaper. Call to make hotel reservations and ask if there are any discounts available. Ask if it is cheaper to book online or over the phone and then do whichever is better. GET UPGRADES AND REWARDS When checking in to a hotel or picking up a rental car, sweetly ask for an upgrade. They might say no, but it doesn’t hurt to ask! Always sign up for member programs with airlines, hotel chains, and rental car companies. You will be surprised by how quickly points rack up and you might be given a gift or upgrade just for joining.
